Dissappointingly, the awaited sequel to Buddha's Lost Children will not be possible and has been cancelled from the Melbourne Buddhist Film Festival at the very last moment.  The film distributor has offered some consellation for the inconvenience , the MBFF committee are very dissappointed but have managed to liase  with the distributors of 'Tulku' (who have been wonderful) to allow a sencond screening of their film instead.   Thank you to the distributors of Tulku! This is also a fantastic film that deserves a second screening!

Opening night was brilliant!

The opening night showing of Un Buda was fantastic, an enthusiastic crowd enjoyed light refreshments and meeting of new and old friends, followed by Ven. Chi Kwang Sunim who gave thoughtful insights and background to the film, our great thanks to Sunim.  Mrs Laura Chan spoke about the Buddhist Council of Victoria and welcomed everyone to the festival!  A huge thanks to the MBFF team, (Linda, Rosemary, Di, John, Siladasa , Carey and Rachael)and effort of Mr Tony & Mrs MyPhuong Le Nguyen for media recording on the night, and  most importantly all the audience who attended!  What a great start to the festival!

All the films are in Melbourne!!!

Have you seen the amazing film Buddha's Lost Children?  Ever wondered what happened to the young novices and their horses at The Golden Horse Monastery in Thailand?  Well, wait no more...come and view PART 2 at this year's MBFF.  We are screening the next installment called Buddha's Lost Children - Revisited.   The ever charismatic Ven Khru Bah looks even younger than the first film (some 4 years ago)...it must be all that meditation and strong compassion.   In this new film, we meet his daughter and find out how the young novices are now growing into young teenagers, and more about Sister...why she came to join the temple.   Looking forward to seeing you then!   U-Tube preview on the website
